Baby Food

Remington has been eating solids for about a month now. Started with rice cereal mixed with milk, but it got difficult pumping that much so I switched to water. I can't believe he tolerated that tasteless gruel for so long! We moved onto veggies after a week of that. I decided long ago that I was committed to making my own baby food, for economic reasons and because I know exactly what's going into his tummy. I actually look forward to the long process of steaming, pureeing, straining, freezing and storing Remington's food. I enjoy experimenting and tasting all the mush. Today I made plums, peaches, apples, green beans, and broccoli, all of which he has yet to try. I flash freeze puree portions in ice cube trays, then label and date freezer bags and store. Then when Remi Boy is ready to eat I just pop one in the microwave and mix with rice cereal or water. So convenient and delicious.

the green stuff in ice cube trays looks like you are going your own grass... interpret that how you like.

He will be healthy to make up for the fact that I just ate 6 delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies straight out of the oven.

IMPRESSIVE! You will have to give me some ideas when you are here. Mason only seems to like fruit and squash...he detests the chicken foods....hmmmm, maybe he taking after you, twin!
