Balloons. When brought into this household they bring happiness and tears, joy and pain, never-ending attachment. Remind me to never let Marshall see another in his life!!! He notices them everywhere we go.
I understand where you are coming from. When I was out with my Nephew & there were balloons he'd cry for one. I never gave in & bought him one. I let him cry & cry. I told my sister & she made him get over his balloon obsession. Now he's not interested.

we experience the same pain and joy with balloons! i think "obsession" would be the correct word.
