The babies and I bravely boarded a plane at the beginning of this month and headed to Utah to surprise my mom for her 50th birthday. The flight was amazingly easy, and it made me forever grateful for my two little boys. After careful and sneaky planning, and with mounds of help from my aunts and my in-laws, we threw my mom a Hawaii five-0 themed party.
Katie helped me prepare decorations while I ran around madly like a chicken with it's head cut off!
My sis-in-law Brenna and Beth and Frank put together this amazing birthday cake while I continued to run around crazy...Brenna made the gorgeous fondant flowers!
I managed to make these tasty little nuggets. By far the VERY BEST CUPCAKES I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot. Coconut lime cupcake with lime buttercream and toasted coconut topping.
Beth helped me assembled this lovely edible arrangement. And my dear aunties Sally, Shannon, Sauni, and Nicole provided this dazzling array and the vast majority of decor. The uncles helped, too!But this is where they ended up!
The spread comes together
Little sis Danielle helped me with the fruit tart cookies and pretzel "thingies"Papa with his newest great-grandson.
And finally, 45 minutes behind schedule...
I think she just might have enjoyed herself...
I love you, Mama!

U r ur mothers daughter. U totally look like her in the clip. The open mouth smile, even the hand up to the mouth for a moment was u. Hahahaha I only notice that bc I am a hand-to-mouther when I chew or laugh, like u are;). Absolutely amazing--the cake, the decor, the surprise being pulled off.
