Marshall woke up with a start and started "bawking" at birds in La Jolla.
This is the kid that never poses for anything, yet somehow I got him over to the lobster just asking one time...

Roseola

After a week of unexplained fever, diarrhea, non-existent appetite and general lethargy and malaise, Marshall broke out in a rash on his stomach and back. My mom immediately recognized it as roseola, a virus that generally only affects kids under 3. Poor guy lost a bunch of weight. Once the rash appeared he did a complete 180 and was his old self again in no time! Eating 3 servings of dinner in one sitting!
You can see his glassy-eyed stare and sunken little eyes.

Be Bear Aware

How could you not be with these at every campground, picnic spot, and bathroom?


And no, we didn't even get a glimpse of a bear!
