Keith and I got the chance to sneak away for the first time in 18 months and we picked Park City as our destination. We decided to quasi-recreate the night we got engaged, which included a dinner at Bangkok Thai on Main (same booth!) and an eerily similar photograph to one taken 8 years ago:Main Street at Dusk:
Gigi got us a room with a view for $40!

Keith's Heaven on Earth
Keith's mom gave him the ultimate gift by surprising him with a afternoon of fly-fishing at a co-workers cabin. The place has a man-made and stocked fish pond. Keith was like an eight year old at Christmas. I haven't seen him that excited since Remington was born. Keith's mom treated us to a delicious picnic while there as well. I think we found our next piece of real estate...

The boy is official
Remi is officially a kid. Now when people ask how old he is, I can actually say 1 1/2! Aging him by months is a thing of the past. It is a very weird habit to break. The only people who do the age by months thing are other toddler parents at the park.
He's watching 30 minutes straight of Elmo without causing trouble, he's trying really hard to be soft to the dogs, he goes to bed without much trouble, he says "AH" when I brush his teeth, he loves playing outside, he has a magnetic attraction to water, he holds hands on command, and he loves to play hide and seek.
I love that kid.

New project
As soon as baby deux comes to town, Remi is being dethroned from the nursery. I love this idea of turning an inexpensive wall map into a work of art. Remi's cultural godfather gave me a large map for Christmas one year, and it's been hanging in the study waiting for something more fabulous to happen to it...I think this fits the bill:credit goes to Kimba of A Soft Place to Land
